Lea Kilianová has been dedicated to playing the violin since early childhood. She completed both levels of study at the J. V. Stamic Elementary Art School in Havlíčkův Brod under the guidance of her teacher Támar Mašlaňová. She also consulted on her repertoire with institutions such as the Brno Conservatory. From a young age, she performed abroad in a duo with a lute, captivating audiences in Germany and Switzerland by playing from memory.
During her studies, she had the opportunity to perform in the Czech Republic with Jaroslav Svěcený and to join the chamber orchestra Fr. I. Mára, which operates at the J. V. Stamic Elementary Art School in Havlíčkův Brod. She was selected to represent the Vysočina Region for the “Concert” project, a collaboration between the Czech Philharmonic and the Association of Elementary Art Schools of the Czech Republic. The project culminated in a performance on June 4, 2017, at the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum in Prague. In 2018, the Fr. I. Mára ensemble won the national radio competition Concerto Bohemia. This victory led to recording sessions at Czech Radio and a performance at the winners’ concert held at Prague’s Žofín in the autumn of the same year.
Lea Kilianová has achieved numerous successes at the national level. Notably, she won 2nd place in the national violin competition for string instruments in Category IX, held from May 11 to 14, 2017, in Liberec. She also secured 1st place in the national chamber music competition for string-dominated ensembles in Category IV as part of a chamber trio. This competition took place on May 14, 2016, in Jindřichův Hradec.
She frequently performs in music programs with lutenist Jindřich Macek. As a duo, they have appeared in events such as Gabriela Filippi’s Healing Theatre production, Anastasia. Their concert projects include programs for children, wedding ceremonies, and formal evening performances. Their most popular programs include “The Vibration of Violin Strings,”, “Introducing the Lute and Violin”, “From Classics to Fairy Tales with the Lute and Violin”, “Advent Reflections with Music”, and “VIOLIN & LUTE – Enchanting Harmony”.
Lea Kilianová is also passionate about singing and plays other instruments, including guitar, piano, and flute. She has a deep interest in composing and writing lyrics for modern music. She writes her own lyrics, composes all instrumental parts, performs them herself, and records them in the studio. She loves improvisation on any instrument and has frequently performed with her violin as a live instrument at events in collaboration with DJs and electronic music.
